The most significant was when Rodel was honored by the invitation of the then presidential candidate Fidel V. Ramos to join his campaign trail in 1992.  Who could tell how many votes were won to the tune of "Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin" (Rodel's signature song)? The rest is history.  (Hopefully, somewhere in President Ramos' memoirs, after he had done his duty serving the country, Rodel's name and his song will be included and remembered.)  In his own way, Rodel became a part of Philippine history.
