Hello po, Ako po Pala si Dovan, 27 years old.
I express my heart felt admiration to Mr. Rodel Naval Songs, kahit Hindi ko na po ka era si Mr. Naval, na I really appreciate the talent that he have. Mr. Naval your a Legend for me kahit Hindi Nakita naabotan sa cassette or social media nalang kita ma stream. Thank you very much po.๐ซก๐๐

I saw/watched Rodel back then in the late 70s I was barely a teenager then (born 1965) then he just left for Canada. And when his song
was a Mega hit (Lumayo ka man sa akin) in the Phil. I was in the US. I did'nt really had the opportunity to admire/ fangirling him back then. Thanks to Youtube I rediscover Rodel again and I really felt bad to what happened to him (being in healthcare) he got when there
was no hope back then at least now they have medications that can prolong your life(Magic Johnson).
I bought his book,cd and video to know him better and be a part of his life/jpurney even by just reading it and watching his videos.
I must say he did get a lot better when he got older voice range and the confidence. At least even thou he was gone Rodel Naval is
remembered Fondly by many.
RIP

I first heard him sing when I was in my early childhood and loved his singing style and his songs. In the early 90's I heard of the song " Koi No Yokan" (ๆใฎไบๆ(koi no yokan)ใๅฎๅ
จๅฐๅธฏ) The Japanese version of "Bakit" and fell in love with the rhythm and song then later "Lumayo Ka man sa Akin" was kind of a very heartwarming sad song that I really love up to this time 2024. Love him and his songs.
Wish he was still alive. God bless you and the rest of the family.
Thank you.

Hi Nida,
Thank you for your visit and wonderful comments. I'm glad that you are blessed and inspired hearing Rodel sang Great Is Thy Faithfulness - this is actually the title of the song. However, the title of the song is irrelevant; both are giving glory to God.

Any woman can't help falling in love or admire the late RODEL NAVAL+ He got everything in one whole package too talented, with his sweet boyish good looks. Wow!!the cool suave timbre, of his voice tone, modulation from high medium baritone - alto voice. I first heard his PINOY songs in the 90's I'd love to listen and watch concerts of our PINOY Talents with fellow bank colleagues. Among my favorite of RODEL's+ songs what touched me most his song (KAILAN KAYA) one of my favorite of his songs. What more, he got that deeply haunting quality when he sings classic English songs I love it. It is not surprising despite a quick short recovery from his illness he was an understudy for the parts as Asst. Commissar for MS. SAIGON for the TORONTO theater and stage production back in the early 90's. I was in my mid to late 20s back then, I was mesmerized indeed, lol!! Geez!! I love the voice again the quality of his voice ranging from a balladeer with his SOULFUL like an old soul - the rendition of his songs be it English ballads, to a modern pop or contemporary PINOY song which he himself composed a great combination of both worlds. A genuine total performer of a unique style of his own with his great singing talent and musical artistry. The good looks at a distance I can't help to daydream back then. When I heard tried to listen LUMAYO KA MAN SA AKIN song, I knew now why it was such a great hit record-breaking, a Triple platinum awardee back then. There's something about RODEL+'s voice and looks that will make your heart flutter- kilig talaga the charm, his compelling singing style at the same time kinda shy, quite mannered guy no conceitedness even if he was already at the peak or prime of his success that's how I thought and felt about him when I stumbled on him here in YOUTUBE. Well ladies, try to listen to one of his best renditions of one of the religious classic song entitled HOW GREAT THOU ART. He is too young to pass away to leave us all and the world he left behind. He got so much to give. Our prayers are with you RODEL+ May you have eternal rest and peace Or who knows you might be singing with the choir of angels up above. It was amazing how most of our Filipino Artists are PAR EXCELLENCE with the International Talent overseas. But Filipinos are really far more expressive, heartwarming and deeply passionate singers, I do agree with one of the feedbacks given by another lady or fan that RODEL's voice sounded or similar to that of GINO VANELLI a famous Canadian -Italian popular male singer in his songs (Living Inside Myself, Nights In Montreal, It Hurts to be In Love); some of his popular songs) an international Musical Artist as well. What is more respectable and admirable living the world behind at the peak of his success and in his illness in his fragile moments the late RODEL NAVAL+ STILL, HE HUMBLY, THOUGHT TO HELP AND SUPPORT THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED, who suffered the same illness that he had and especially to raise funds or donation for the education of the children coming from the underprivileged families living in the slum areas in the City of Philippines. To quote: โMaybe thereโs a purpose to all of this, and if I can help others because of what happened to me, let it be so.โ https://www.rodelnaval.com/about/, Thus, RONACO Foundation was launched in 1997 in Honor this wonderful, lovable great FILIPINO SINGER ARTIST!! MABUHAY PINOY TALENT AROUND THE GLOBE!!๐ฅฐโค๐๐๐โค๐๐ฟ๐๐๐

I never realized that Rodel Naval has a lot of beautiful songs that touch the heart and soul. I am only aware of his 2 popular songs, "Lumayo ka man sa akin" and "Muli". However, after listening to his other songs, it came to my senses that they were beautiful and had nice lyrics. It saddens me that this great talent left us too soon. I will keep this page and purchase his CD and concert very soon. Thank you for having this kind of page. Wishing you guys all the good luck. God bless always.

Your gift will make a difference in the lives of these poor children who will be able to continue their education. Gusto ko sanang umorder ng book , CD ng last Concert nya, at mga CD nya, salamat, staysafeandhealthy, be grateful, kawaykaway sa kalayuan, Sydney,,, everyday akong nag wawatch ng mga videos nya at nag cocoment, #RodelNavalโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโญ๏ธ๐. He was my first ever big time crush when I was 18 years old, I am now 60 and reading his brief bio I realised that we both left Philippines in 1979, he left for Canada to join his family and I came to England to join my family. Of course time passed and I must admit I have forgotten about him until I came across his music on YouTube and watching his performances, he made me fall in love with him all over again! Oh how I wish I had the opportunity to watch him in concert live. I feel so emotional to find out he is gone, how I wish that I can have the chance to watch him live now!! But defo on my bucket list, when I visit Toronto one day when this bloody pandemic goes away, I will make sure to visit his grave to pay my respect to him. May his soul rest in eternal peace and when itโs my time to join our creator I hope to meet him in heaven! So I better be goodโฆ. There will always be that special spot in my heart for him forever!

Ody May be gone but never will be forgotten.. My number 1 favorite opm male singer.. Some have the voice some have the music some have the face and some the soul.. But Ody Rodel Naval have it all.. Rest in Peace๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ. Keep singing with the angels above for the glory of God.. My Mr Dream guy๐๐๐๐๐ 1and only Rodel Naval.. Hope 1 day I can get a copy of your book..

I just realized that he used to be my long lost idol in philippine movies. Together with him were Arnold Gamboa, Winnie Santos & I forgot his tandem/partner. Naghihinayang ako bkit nawala sya sa showbiz. Now I know, na ang actor na yun at ang popular pinoy singer in d early 90s ay iisa lamang. The more ko na sya maging idol khit ngayon wala na sya.

I am a great fanof only three Filipino singers in the country's mainstream music industry: MARTIN NIEVERA, RICO J. PUNO and, the best of them all, RODEL NAVAL. Two of these master performers may be gone but their music will live forever...
